Robin L. Cole is a quirky New Jersey based indie fantasy author and tarot creator who likes to game, cook, read tarot cards, and play with makeup when she is not writing. She writes the dark and snarky, emotionally-driven urban fantasy series The Warding. To date, three publications have been made in this series: two full length novels in the main series, Iron and Faster, as well as First Hunt, a Kindle Exclusive eBook short story set in the Warding world. She has one more full-length book planned in the series called “The Last Dance” and hopes to release it soon.
On the tarot end of the spectrum, she not only reads the cards–but creates them as well! Her first deck, The Beautiful Rebellion Tarot Deck, was an independently published deck featuring the romantic, medieval imagery of masters such as Dante Gabriel Rossetti, John Everett Millais, Edmund Blair Leighton, John Collier, John William Waterhouse, and more. The second deck, Emerging from Darkness: A Tarot Deck for Shadow Work, and successfully Kickstarted in February 2020. Her latest release, The Beautiful Lenormand, a companion deck to the BR, features some of the same Pre-Raphaelite masters and other artists of that time. Current editions of all of her decks are available for purchase directly from the printer.
Her next endeavor, The Emergence Pocket Oracle, is a poker-sized 54-card Lenromand-based oracle deck that will serve as a companion to the Emerging from Darkness Tarot, though it can also be used solo for shadow work and deep intuitive work. This new deck will be released in Fall 2023.
